Ceremonies
Having a Sunset Ceremony is a way to say goodbye to a pet who has passed on. This includes furry, feathery, or even scaly family members. Every companion deserves a proper send off and a huge thank you for all the love they provided. Therefore, this special kind of ritual work is intended to provide this along with easing the transition for pets and their owners. I do not and cannot provide cremations, burials or any kind of corpse preservation at this time.
Baby Blessing is comparable to a christening or baptism. Bestow the beautiful gift of positive energy and divine protection onto your child with this sacred ceremony. For those looking for a unique way to christen their child, blessings by someone who is both a witch and an ordained minister is certainly an out of the box option! Each blessing is individually tailored and will only call upon forces of love and light. All materials that are utilized for this ritual are guaranteed to be safe for babies. This ritual is also available for new fur-babies as well!
Handfastings can be described as a pagan wedding ceremony. It is from this ancient ritual our language got the term, “tying the knot” and its no wonder. In this ritual, the couple to be wed exchange rings before joining their hands together. The two’s hands are then loosely bound by an officiant in a beautiful ceremonial cord. This cord, a symbol of two coming together is to be tied with 3 knots symbolizing a couples commitment, trust, and boundless love to one another. Once tied, the couple then exchange their vows before being pronounced married! Finally, the ceremonial cord is then slipped off the couple's hands and to be kept somewhere safe. Now a sacred symbol this cord is to remain bound and intact for as long as the couple is wed. While I am an ordained minister, this ceremony is only symbolic unless the couple supplies a legal marriage license available at the County Clerks Office. As a matter of fact, it is surprisingly easy to get legally wed in Colorado. All that is required is for a couple to get their license, sign it, and file it! It really is that easy. That means with the help of a non-toxic ink pad, even your furry family members can also sign as witnesses!
Being a death doula for animals is extremely important to me. Every aspect of being an animal death doula is about preparing for and getting through the heartbreaking time that is the sunset on the life of our pets. More specifically, my job is to be there with your animal as they pass away. Some people feel they don’t have the emotional strength to help their pet crossover on their own. That’s why step to help the pet and their owner with this transition to make the overall experience slightly less traumatic for both. This is the only free service that I offer.
